In one of my PhD chapters, I used a case study of a women magazine to explore how the notion of national identity is constructed through popular print media. You would be surprise the impact of the popular print in the construction of our personality, behaviors, and further more it’s impact on our notion of nationalism.

Apart from finalising the final stage of my PhD, I am also occupied with preparing paper that I will present about graphic design and construction of national identity at Mediasia 2010, Osaka, Japan, in October. Here is the paper abstract.
